The Delta Police Pipe Band was formed in 1971 by members of the Delta Police Department in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. Since the Band's inception, it has grown to its present strength of 33 pipers and 20 drummers. The Band is currently under the direction of Pipe Major Colin Abel and Drum Major Moe Coll. The band uniform is complemented by the Ancient Smith Tartan, worn in honour of the Band's cofounder, the late Chief Constable M.W.Smith. The band proudly represents the Delta Police Department and the Corporation of Delta, at home and around the world |

DPPB Plays Duncan - Cowichan FestivalTheDPPB had a terrific time playing at Duncan-Cowichan Festival on the 17th of July. One of the big attractions is The Grand Parade which featured the Delta Police Pipe Band and Duncan’s own Cowichan Pipes and Drums. DPPB Announces Celtic Gala 2010 for October 29thThe Delta Police Pipe Band is very pleased to announce that Celtic Gala 2010 will be held on October 29, 2010 at the South Delta Baptist Church in Tsawwassen. These concerts have been a very popular event over the past several years and this years concert will feature performances by the Delta Police Pipe Band, Tiller's Folly, and others. Tickets are $25. Tickets will be on sale shortly through Ticketmaster and our usual retailers. Any community groups that wish to raise funds can sell tickets to the Gala and earn $5 per ticket sold.
